Jaume Cerdà-Marti
Clarinet – Orchestra academyJaume Cerdà-Martí was born in Agullent (Spain) in 1996. He received his first clarinet lessons there at the music school and later at the »Josep Melcior Gomis« conservatory in Ontinyent. He studied with Prof. Carlos Lacruz at the »Conservatori Superior de Música Salvador Seguí« in Castelló de la Plana, and later continued his studies at the HfMDK Frankfurt with Prof. Laura Ruiz-Ferreres. He is currently in the class of Prof. Andreas Langenbuch at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf.
He has attended several master classes and lessons with renowned clarinettists such as François Benda, Kilian Herold, Tomaž Močilnik, Reinhard Wieser, Jochen Tschabrun, Calogero Palermo, José Franch-Ballester, Giovanni Punzi, Venancio Rius and José Vicente Herrera.
As an orchestral musician, he has helped out in various orchestras, including the Frankfurt Philharmonic Orchestra (members of the Opera and Museum Orchestra), the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, the Göttinger Symphonie Orchester, the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and the Bad Hersfeld Festival. He has been an academy member of the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne since April 2024.
