Johannes Berner

Johannes Berner was born in Villingen-Schwenningen in 2004. He received his first percussion lessons at the age of 5 at the Dunningen Music School with Ralf Reiter and later at the age of 13 with Jonas Brodbeck at the Villingen Music Academy. He then went on to study with Prof. Franz Lang at the Trossingen State University of Music before beginning his bachelor's degree there in the winter semester of 2022/23. Since 2024, he has been continuing his studies with his successor Prof Jochen Schorer in Trossingen.

As a longstanding member of several youth orchestras, including the German National Youth Orchestra, the Baden-Württemberg State Youth Orchestra and the Baden-Württemberg State Youth Percussion Ensemble, he was able to gain ensemble and orchestral experience at an early age. He also played with the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie in 2023.

He has been a member of the Gürzenich Orchestra's Orchestra Academy since October 2023.
