Yunqing Cao

Yunqing Cao was born in 1999 and comes from China. In 2013, she was accepted into the High School Affiliated to the China Conservatory of Music (CCoM) and studies with Professor Bai Ming. In 2017 she was accepted into the CCoM. In July 2019, she was invited to participate in the opening ceremony of the Salzburg Art Festival in Austria. As a member of the Kunlun Quartet, she has won numerous prizes, including the grand prize of the international online competition »Grand Prix Crown of Stars« in the chamber music category, and in 2022 she was accepted into the Cologne University of Music and Dance in October for master's studies in solo viola and studies with Professor Peijun Xu. Joined the Academy of the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne in May 2023 to begin a two-year internship. In December of the same year, she became a member of the Deutsche Jugendphilharmonie.
