Who doesn't know Cologne's Hänneschen Theater? Like the Gürzenich Orchestra, it's a quintessentially Cologne institution. And this year, both are celebrating anniversaries: 222 years of the Hänneschen Theater and 25 years of Ohrenauf! To mark the occasion, the two greats of the cultural landscape are teaming up for a joint production. But not on the big stage, but down-to-earth in the community center around the corner.
With a small ensemble of musicians and puppeteers, we are bringing a musical, Cologne version of the well-known Sleeping Beauty story directly to Cologne's neighborhoods and to the people. Our motto: Leave the concert hall and enter the city.
